Access Rule Configuration
Use the Access Rule Configuration page to configure the rules about what systems can
access the GS748T Web interface and what protocols are allowed.
To access the Access Rule Configuration page, click Secu
rity Access, and then click the
Access Control
Access Rule Configuration link.
Before you create access rules, make sure:
• An
access profile exists.
• T
he access profile is deactivated.
To configure access profile rules:
1. T
o add an access profile rule, configure the following settings and click Add.
• Rule
Type: Specify whether the rule permits or denies access to the GS748T
management interface.
• Select Permit to allow access t
o the management interface for traffic that meets
the criteria you configure for the rule. Any traffic that does not meet the rules is
denied.
• Select De
ny to prohibit access to the management interface for traffic that meets
the criteria you configure for the rule. Any traffic that does not meet the rules is
allowed access to the switch. Unlike MAC ACLs and IP ACLs, there is no implied
deny all rule at the end of the rule list.
• Servi
ce Type. Select the type of service to allow or prohibit from accessing the switch
management interface:
• SNMP
• HTTP
• HTTPS
