"1 The video preview is not displayed when:
- NDMI IN 6/7 is the current HDM[ input source, or
- No signal is present on the current input source.
The video of the currently-selected input is displayed on the
main screen, not on a preview thumbnail.
*2 Only when you have selected "Custom" ill the "Picture
Mode" (3 page 56), pressing ENTER allows you to adjust
the following items via the Quick Setup: "Brightness",
"Contrast", "Hue" and "Saturation". Press RETURN to
return to the "Picture Mode" setting.
*3 Depending on the input source and listening rnode, not all
channels shown here output the sound.
*4 This setting is not available in either of the following cases:
- The "Audio TV Out" setting is set to "On" (3 page 60).
- "HDMI Control(RIHD)" is set to "On" (3 page 60) and
you're listening through your TV speakers.
You can change various audio settings from the Quick
Setup (_ page 43).

Tone Control
I Bass
-10dB to 0dB to +10dB in 2 dB steps
You can boost or cut low-frequency sounds output
from the front speakers.
m Treble
-10dB to 0dB to +10dB in 2 dB steps
You can boost or cut high-frequency sounds output
from the front speakers.
You can adjust the bass and treble for the front speakers,
except when Direct listening mode is selected.
Operating on the AV receiver
1 Press TONE repeatedly to select either "Bass" or
"Treble".
2 Use - and + to adjust.
Speaker Levels
Advanced Operations
mSubwoofer Level
-15dB to 0dB to +12dB in 1 dB steps
m Center Level
-12dB to 0dB to +12dB in 1 dB steps
You can adjust the volume of each speaker while listening
to an input source.
These temporary adjustments are cancelled when the AV
receiver is set to standby. To save the setting you made
here, go to "Level Calibration" (_ page 51 ) before
setting the AV receiver to standby.
You cannot use these function while the AV receiver is muted.
These settings cannot be used while a pair of headphones is
connected.
Speakers that are set to "No" or "None" in
"Speaker Configuration" (3 page 50) cannot be adjusted.
Audyssey®
mAudyssey
See "Audyssey" in "Source Setup" (_ page 53).
m Dynamic EQ
See "Dynamic EQ" in "Source Setup" (_ page 54).
m Dynamic Volume
See "Dynamic Volume" in "Source Setup" (_ page 54).
These technologies can be used when all the following conditions
are nlet:
- Room Correction and Speaker Setup is completed. Note that
"Audyssey" requires the "Audyssey 2EQ Full Calibration"
rnethod.
- Any listening rnode other than Direct is selected.
- A pair of headphones is not connected.
The setting is stored individually for each input selector.
