3.SelectGainControls.
SelectingGainControlswillswitchbetween
showingandhidingtheon-screencontrols.
Note:Whentheon-screenGaincontrolsareset
toHiddenthentheGainsettingscanbeaccessed
directlyfromtheapplicationmenu:Menu>Gain.
AdjustingTVGmanuallyusingon-screen

TouchonlyandHybridTouchmultifunctiondisplays
haveon-screenTVGcontrols.
1.Selecttheon-screenTVGcontrollocatedonthe
lefthandsideoftheFishnderapplication.
2.SelecttheAutoboxtoswitchbetweenAutoand
ManualTVG.
3.Adjustthesettingtotherequiredvalue.
SettingautoTVGusingtheon-screen
controls
TouchonlyandHybridTouchmultifunctiondisplays
haveon-screenTVGcontrols.
1.Selecttheon-screenTVGcontrollocatedonthe
lefthandsideoftheshnderapplication.
2.SelecttheAutoboxtoselectAutoTVGmode.
3.WhenconnectedtoexternalCHIRPsonar
modules(excludingDownVision
TM
)andexternal
traditionalsonarmodules(excludinglegacy)you
canselectanautoTVGmode,
NoiseFilter
TheNoiseFilterreducestheamountofclutter
displayedonscreenbyvaryingthegainthroughout
thecolumnofwater.Adjustingthesettingcan
improvetargetidentication,howeverforoptimum
performanceinmostconditions,itisrecommended
thatyouusetheautosetting.
TheNoiseFiltercanbesettoautomaticoradjusted
manually:
•Automatic—InAutomodetheNoiseFilterisset
to20%.
•Manual—YoucanadjusttheNoiseFilter
manually,betweenavalueof0%to100%.
–Alowvaluedecreasesthedepthatwhichthe
lterisapplied.
–Ahighvalueincreasesthedepthatwhichthe
lterisapplied.

AdjustingtheNoiseFilter
FollowthestepsbelowtoadjusttheNoiseFilter.
FromtheFishnderapplication:
1.SelectMenu.
2.SelectSensitivitySettings.
3.SelectNoiseFilter.
TheNoiseltersliderbarcontrolisdisplayed.
4.AdjusttheNoiseFiltertotherequiredvalue,or
5.SelecttheAutocheckboxtoswitchtoAuto
mode.
Note:TheNoiseltercanalsobeadjustedby
selectingtheon-screenN.Filtercontrol.
Colorthreshold
Colorthresholddeterminesthesignalstrength
belowwhichtargetsarenotshown.Traditionaland
CHIRPsonarusedifferentcolorstodeterminesignal
strengthswhilstDownVision

usesmonochrome
shading.
TheColorThresholdsettingisaglobalsetting.When
thecolorthresholdvalueischangedallFishnder
applicationpanesonallnetworkedmultifunction
