Cup Heater (Option)
The cleaning for the cup warmer is described in the separate operating instructions "Cup
warmer/ Cup & Cool".
Cup & Cool (Option)
The cleaning procedure for Cup & Cool is described in the separate "Cup Warmer/Cup & Cool"
operating instructions.
Defrosting the cooling unit (Option)
Option 1: Cup & Cool
Defrosting of the cooling unit is described in the separate "Cup warmer/ Cup & Cool" operating
instructions.
Option 2: Defrosting the side cooling unit
The interior surface of the cooling unit can become damaged.
Never remove the ice layer with pointed or sharp objects; always let it defrost.
Switch off the side cooling unit or unplug the power cable.
Open the front door and leave it open.
Wipe up all accumulated condensation water with an absorbent cloth.
Repeat the procedure until the ice layer has melted completely.
Close the front door and switch the device on again or plug the power cable in again.
HACCP cleaning concept
Cleaning regulations
When installation, maintenance, care and cleaning are performed properly, Schaerer AG cof-
fee machines satisfy the conditions of HACCP requirements.
If the coffee machine is not cared for and cleaned properly, the dispensing of milk bev-
erages will become a health hazard in terms of food hygiene.
Always observe and comply with the following points:
Wear safety gloves during cleaning.
Wash your hands thoroughly before and after cleaning.
Clean the coffee machine daily after beverage dispensing has ended.
Clean the milk container before each filling and after you have finished dispensing bever-
ages for the day.
Never pour cleaning products into the milk container.
Never pour cleaning products into the drinking water tank (internal/external).
Never mix cleaning products.
Store cleaning products separately from coffee, milk and automatic machine powder.
Do not use any abrasive products, brushes or cleaning tools made of metal.
Do not touch parts that come into contact with beverages after cleaning.
Read and follow the dosage and safety instructions specified on the cleaning product.
For daily and weekly cleaning, proceed as described in the operating instructions and on
the cleaning cards.
