The internal E protocol is used for connections
to an ISB.
Option 2: external
The external E protocol is used for direct con-
nections to a point of sale system. The point of
sale system manufacturer must also comply with
the Schaerer specifications for the E protocol.

the additional setting for
the "CRC check" is availa-
ble.
CRC check ► Activate the "CRC check" with the [Yes] set-
ting.
The point of sale system supports an
evaluation.
► Deactivate the "CRC check" with the [No]
setting.
The point of sale system cannot evaluate
the "CRC check".
Yes / No The "E protocol" parame-
ter is set to [external].
Baud rate The baud rate can be set to between 2400 and
38400 baud.
In di The standard setting is
9600 baud.
