Error messages with fault code
Potential error messages, with a fault code, are shown as pictured in the figure on the left.
Code Designation Cause and effect What to do
2 Brewer motor without
current
Current sensor does not indicate current,
pulse generator does not indicate pulses.
► Contact your service partner.
3 Brewer motor pulse
generator: no pulses
Pulse generator not supplying pulses. Cur-
rent sensor indicates traction current.
Faulty pulse generator.
4 Current error, brewer
motor 3
Pulse generator: Pulses are present but the
current sensor does not indicate a current.
5 Brewer motor limit
switch: no signal
The brewer limit switch is not reached, but
current and pulses are OK or the limit switch
does not open.
6 Brewer overcurrent The brewing screen is clogged. ► Clean the brewing screen.

26 Right grinder blocked The grinding fineness setting is too fine.
The fine dust contaminates the mill too quick-
ly.
► Set the grind level one level coarser.
See "Service and maintenance" - "Finer set-
ting of grind level".
The grinder is blocked. ► Contact your service partner.
36 Left grinder blocked The grind level setting is too fine.
The fine dust contaminates the mill too quick-
ly.
► Set the grind level one level coarser.

The grinder is blocked. ► Contact your service partner.
87 Boiler sensor breakage Beverage dispensing is not possible. ► Contact your service partner.
88 Boiler temperature too
high
The water supply is interrupted.
Dispensing of beverages is blocked.
Option 1: With drinking water tank
► Check that the drinking water tank is filled
and installed correctly.
Option 2: With mains water supply
► Check whether the main water valve is
open.
The brewing unit is blocked.
Dispensing of beverages is blocked.
► Clean the brewing unit.

The machine is overheated.
Dispensing of beverages is blocked.
► Switch off the coffee machine and let it
cool.
► Switch the coffee machine back on.
► If not rectified, contact your service part-
ner.
89 Boiler heating time er-
ror
Fault while heating ► Switch the machine off and back on.
130 General current error Current consumption of power supply when
switching on is too high.
► Contact your service partner.
149 Boiler heating time er-
ror
Current consumption with 24 V/30 V power
supply is too high.
157 Boiler heating time er-
ror
The battery is almost empty. The PC board
fails when the battery is fully empty.
