2 Operation
This section explains the control panel and basic operation of the DME4000. You can find detailed
information about the operation startup and operation of the DME4000 in Chapter 4 “Operation
Startup”.
2.1 Operating Panel Structure

The operating panel is divided into two areas:
LC Display: Displays the menu during parameterization
Function keys: For entering the parameters and functions
2.2 Operation
The DME4000 is equipped with a film keyboard.
Only touch the entry area with your fingers or with a suitable pointer sensor!
Do not use any sharp or hard objects. You could damage the entry area and consequently make opera-
tion of the machine difficult or impossible.
