5 Transporting the gearbox

♦ Screw plug set -VAS 6122-
NOTICE
There is a risk of damage to the mechatronics for double
clutch gearbox -J743-.
• The vent of the mechatronics for dual clutch transmissions
-J743- (-arrow rear-) and the ventilation of the gearbox
(-arrow left-) must be sealed oil-tight during assembly
work.
♦ The hydraulic oil level in the dual clutch gearbox mecha‐
tronics -J743- cannot be checked. If there is a loss of
hydraulic oil from the mechatronics for dual clutch trans‐
missions -J743- an oil change must be carried out; this is
the only way to set the correct oil level ⇒ a7.2 nd top up
hydraulic oil for mechatronics”, page 233
♦ Likewise, the gear oil level cannot be checked in the event
of oil loss. The correct gear oil level can only be set by
changing the gear oil ⇒ a7.1 nd filling gearbox oil”, page
230 .
Insufficient quantities of gearbox or hydraulic oil or over-filling
of these oils impairs gearbox function and failure would be the
consequence.
Close the gearbox in an oil-tight manner
