DIAGNOSIS
"C41" FP RELAY CIRCUIT MALFUNCTION
I
DETECTED CONDITION
No voltage is applied to the both injectors for
3
sec.
after the contact of fuel pump relay is turned ON.
Or voltage is applied to the both injectors, when the
contact of fuel pump is OFF.
INSPECTION
Step
1
1)
Remove the seat. (W7-4)
2)
Turn the ignition switch OFF.
POSSIBLE CAUSE
1
Fuel pump relay circuit open or short.
Fuel pump relay malfunction.
ECM malfunction.
3)
Check the FP relay coupler for loose or poor contacts.
If OK, then check the insulation and continuity. Refer to page
5-1

for details.
Is the FP relay OK?
NO
I
Replace the FP relay with a new one.
YES
NOTE:
When the both fuel injectors break down at a time,

If wire and connection are OK, intermittent trou-
ble or faulty ECM.
Recheck each terminal and wire harness for
open circuit and poor connection.
Inspect the fuel injectors. (W4-42)

DETECTED CONDITION
Ignition switch signal is not input in the ECM.

Ignition system circuit open or short.
