Ignition System
Ignition circuit
Ignition coil inspection
Remove the seat and fuel tank.
Measure the resistance between the terminals
of the primary winding.
Standard value：0.6Ω±15% (20ºC)
Remove the cap from the spark plug and
measure the resistance between terminals of
secondary winding.
Standard value：
4.2KΩ±15% (without cap 20ºC)
8.7KΩ±15% (with cap 20ºC)
Exciter coil inspection
Disconnect the AC. Generator 6 pin coupler.
Measure the resistance between the terminal
Black / Red and terminal Green.
Standard value：420Ω±10%
Caution
● Coil does not need to be removed from
the engine before inspection.
