k Levels and Frozen Frames
Monitoring Black Levels and Frozen Frames
You can set your instrument to trigger alarms when user-dened settings for Black and/or Frozen frames are met. Black and
Frozen events can be viewed in the Video Session display. You can set the parameters for these events in the Measurement
Settings menu in the CONFIG menu.
Conguring Black Detect
Use the Black Detect feature to dene how long a black event can occur before triggering an alarm. You can set the black
level threshold, the measurement area, and the number of consecutive frames by performing the following procedures. You
can view if B
lack events have occurred in the Video Session display.
1. Press the CONFIG button to display the
Conguration menu.
2. Use the General knob to highlight Input
Monitor Mo
de.
3. Press the
right arrow k ey to navigate
to the submenu, and then press the
up/down arrow keys to select Single
Black/Fr
ozen.
4. Press the
left arrow key to return focus
to the Conguration menu.
5. Use the General knob to highlight
Measur
ement Settings.
6. Press t
he right arrow key twice to
highlight Black Detect and then Black
Level Threshold.
7. Use the arrow keys and General knob to
set th
e Black Level Threshold and the
Alarm on Conseq Fram es parameters.
