Drain the sea water circuit, operation 20A-03.

Remove the cover and press the insert out of the
heat exchanger.

Check that the holes in the pipes are clean. If there
are hard deposits or contaminants in the pipe, the
best way of cleaning them is to use a non-corrosive
solution approved by the manufacturer. If the de-
posits or contaminants are soft, the pipe can be
cleaned with a steel rod. Push the rod through the
pipes in the opposite direction to the water flow.
Take care that the rod does not damage the pipes.

Check the components for signs of damage and re-
place if necessary.

Install the components in reverse order. There is
only one way to install the insert and cover.

Run the engine and check for leakage.
Remove the charge air cooler assembly from the
heat exchanger. Remove the cover and the plugs
(B1 and B2). Press the insert out of the heat ex-
changer.
