Battery
Battery acid is highly caustic!
Caustic injury hazard due to battery acid!
Can cause serious injury or death.
• Always wear safety glasses and protective clothing with long sleeves.
If acid is spilt:
• Thoroughly rinse all affected surfaces immediately with plenty of water.
• Thoroughly wash any part of the body touched by the acid immediately with
plenty of water and seek medical attention at once!
Injury hazard due to malfunctioning batteries!
Can cause serious injury or death.
• The battery contains sulfuric acid! This acid must not be allowed to come
into contact with the skin, the eyes, clothing or the machine.
• Do not use open flames near open battery cells, avoid sparks close by and
do not smoke – otherwise the gas that is also produced during normal bat-
tery operation (not only during battery charging) could ignite!
• Do not attempt to jump-start the machine if the battery is frozen or if the
acid level is low. The battery can rupture or explode!
• Replace the battery immediately
• Always disconnect the negative terminal (–) from the battery before starting
repair work on the electrical system!
Battery A is located under the floor panel directly in front of the control stand. The battery
is “maintenance-free”. However check the battery at regular intervals to ensure that the
electrolyte level is between the MIN and MAX marks.
Checking the battery requires it to be removed and must be performed by a Wacker Neu-
son service center.
Always follow the specific battery safety instructions!
Do not disconnect the battery while the engine is running!
