Upgrade Firmware Chapter 5
4. Verify the existing firmware revision of the terminal by looking in the
System Information screen, and compare to the firmware revision of the
file to make sure you are performing the desired upgrade.

on page 56 for instructions on how to view
the current firmware version.
Upgrading Firmware Using
ControlFLASH
The ControlFLASH software is included with the Connected Components
Workbench software and can be installed or updated when you install
Connected Components Workbench on your computer.
Follow these steps to upgrade the firmware using ControlFLASH.
1. Verify that the terminal is connected to your computer through the
Ethernet network connection.

ATTENTION: Changing the firmware will likely change the
behavior of the terminal. Be aware of the firmware versions
for the terminal versus the new firmware that is on the
computer, and be informed of the expected behavior after
the new firmware is installed on the terminal.
