Checking wear of chain, front
and rear sprockets (04_32)
Also check the following parts and verify
that the chain, pinion and the crown do
not have:
•
Damaged rollers.
•
Loosened pins.
•
Dry, rusty, smashed or seized
chain mails.
•
Excessive wear.
•
Excessively worn or damaged
teeth on the pinion or crown.
IMPORTANT
IF THE CHAIN ROLLERS ARE DAM-
AGED, THE PINS ARE LOOSENED
AND/OR THE O-RINGS ARE MISSING
OR DAMAGED, THE WHOLE CHAIN
APPARATUS (PINION, CROWN AND
CHAIN) SHOULD BE REPLACED.
IMPORTANT
LUBRICATE THE CHAIN ON A REGU-
LAR BASIS, PARTICULARLY IF YOU
FIND DRY OR RUSTY PARTS.
SQUASHED OR SEIZED CHAIN MAILS
SHOULD BE LUBRICATED AND RE-
TURNED TO GOOD OPERATING CON-
DITIONS. IF YOU ARE UNABLE TO
REPAIR THEM, CONTACT AN aprilia
OFFICIAL DEALERSHIP, WHO WILL
REPLACE THEM.
Contrôle de l'usure de la
chaîne, du pignon et de la
couronne (04_32)
Contrôler en outre les pièces suivantes et
s'assurer que la chaîne, le pignon et la
couronne ne présentent pas :
•
Rouleaux endommagés.
•
Pivots desserrés.
•
Mailles sèches, rouillées, écra-
sées ou grippées.
•
Usure excessive.
•
Dents du pignon ou de la cou-
ronne excessivement usés ou
endommagés.
ATTENTION
SI LES ROULEAUX DE LA CHAÎNE
SONT ENDOMMAGÉS, SI LES PIVOTS
SONT DESSERRÉS ET/OU SI LES BA-
GUES D'ÉTANCHÉITÉ SONT ENDOM-
MAGÉES OU MANQUANTES, IL FAUT
REMPLACER LA TOTALITÉ DU
GROUPE CHAÎNE (PIGNON, COU-
RONNE ET CHAÎNE).
ATTENTION
LUBRIFIER LA CHAÎNE FRÉQUEM-
MENT, SURTOUT SI ON RENCONTRE
DES PIÈCES SÈCHES OU ROUIL-
LÉES. LES MAILLONS SECS OU
GRIPPÉS DOIVENT ÊTRE LUBRIFIÉS
ET REMIS EN ÉTAT DE FONCTIONNE-
MENT. SI CELA N'EST PAS POS-
SIBLE, S'ADRESSER À UN conces-
