Magnifying the Image on the Screen
You can magnify the image at the center
of the screen to make it easier for you to
focus manually. You can also choose to
record the magnified image.
Use this function when you wish to focus
on faraway subjects such as mountains or
fireworks.

The camcorder will automatically return to
autofocus when you set the mode switch to
fmID.
Infinity Focus
1 Adjust the zoom.
2 In autofocus mode, keep [FOCUS)
pressed down for more than 2
seconds.
• 00 appears.

• Pressing [FOCUS Iagain will return the
camcorder to autofocus.
• Operating the zoom or the FOCUS
dial will return the camcorder to
manual focus adjustment (MF).

the FOCUS dial until the image
appears focused.

Subjects with low contrast or
without vertical lines
Manual Focus Adjustment
Autofocus may not work well on the
following subjects. In such case, focus
manually.
