TRSM0940 Service Procedures | Input Shaft Removal and Installation
6. Remove the snap ring retaining the Input Shaft to the
Main Drive Gear.
7. Remove th
e Input Shaft from the Main Drive Gear.
8. Inspect the Input Shaft Bushing,
replace if damaged.
Input Shaft Installation
1. If necessary, complete installation of the Input Shaft
Bushing.
2. In
stall the Input Shaft into the Main Drive Gear splines.
3. Install
the snap ring that retains the Input Shaft to the
Main Drive Gear
4. In
stall the Input Shaft Bearing onto the Input Shaft.
Note: The external
snap ring on the Input Shaft Bearing
should face out.
