This section describes how to move and transport the
product.
Moving the Printer
This section assumes that the product is being moved to
another location on the same floor without traversing
stairs, ramps, or lifts. See below for information on
moving the printer between floors or to another
building.

Caution:
Do not tilt the product more than 10 degrees
forward or back while moving it. Failure to observe
this precaution could result in the printer falling
over, causing accidents.

Important:
❏ Do not remove the ink cartridges/ink supply
units. Failure to observe this precaution could
cause the print head nozzles to dry out.
❏ If you are using the SC-S80600L Series/
SC-S60600L Series, be sure to transport the
printer under the following conditions.
❏ Do not separate the ink unit and the
printer. (Transport the printer with the ink
tube connector connected to the back of the
printer and the connector locked.)
❏ Make sure the fixing wire is fastened.
Getting Ready

Confirm that the printer is off.

Remove the Waste Ink Bottle.

Disconnect the power cords and all other cables.
If you are using the SC-S80600L Series/
SC-S60600L Series, remove the following from
the ink unit.
❏ Power cable and connection cable
❏ Overturn-prevention plate (for both sides)

Remove media from the Media Feeding Unit and
Auto Take-up Reel Unit.

Unlock the two casters at the front.
If you are using the SC-S80600L Series/
SC-S60600L Series, unlock all 4 of the ink unit's
casters.
