Storing and Handling Paper
Storing Paper
Note the following because paper is easily affected by moisture in the air and deformed by impact.
Store paper inside a dry place. Paper that has absorbed moisture can result in paper jams and
lower image quality.
If you use paper that has been stored in a low temperature environment, fusing failure may occur.
We recommend that you store paper in the environment with 16°C or more.
If you use the coated paper stored in a highly humid environment with a high temperature, misfeed
or multi-feed may occur.
After opening the package, store the remainder of the paper in a moisture-proof wrapper or plastic
bag with a zipper.
Store paper on a flat surface to prevent bends or warping.
Store paper avoiding direct sunlights.
Handling Paper
Do not gather up disjointed sheets of paper and use them.
Do not use wrinkled or creased paper.
Do not load paper of mixed sizes or types together into a tray.
Film and coated paper can cause paper jams or multi-feed (multiple sheets of paper are feed
simultaneously), therefore, fan the paper carefully before loading.
