10.4.1 Required tools

10.4.2 Preliminary steps
Before replacing a memory module, perform the following steps:
Ê Shut down the server as described in section "Shutting down the server" on
page 40.
Ê Remove the AC power cord from the cable tie and disconnect it from the
system as described in section "Disconnecting the power cord" on page 41.
Ê Bring the server to its horizontal position.
Ê Open the side cover as described in section "Removing the side cover" on
page 43.
Ê Locate the defective expansion card using diagnostics information as
described in section "Using diagnostics information" on page 39.
10.4.3 Removing a memory module
Ê Identify the defective memory slot using the server management software.
Ê Remove the defective memory module as described in section "Removing
memory modules" on page 125.
