Front panel and external connectors
13.1.2 Preliminary steps
Before replacing the front panel cable, perform the following steps:
Ê Shut down the server as described in section "Shutting down the server" on
page 40.
Ê Remove the AC power cord from the cable tie and disconnect it from the
system as described in section "Disconnecting the power cord" on page 41.
Ê Bring the server to its horizontal position.
Ê Open the side cover as described in section "Removing the side cover" on
page 43.
Ê Remove the HDD cage as described in section "Removing the HDD cage"
on page 60.
Ê Remove all accessible drives as described in section "Removing accessible
drives" on page 163.
Ê Remove the front cover as described in section "Removing the front cover"
on page 49.
13.1.3 Removing the On/Off button

Ê Press the two retaining clips together and push the On/Off button into the
chassis.
I Note the orientation of the On/Off button. If it is installed differently, it
will not work properly.
