TURNING THE ANSWERING SYSTEM OFF AND ON
1. Make sure the base is OFF (not in TALK mode.
2. Press the ANS soft key, and
XX NEW MESSAGE
shows in the display.
3. Press the SETUP soft key. The arrow in the display points to
ANSWER
ON/OFF.
4. Press the OK soft key and
SET ANSWERER 1ON 2OFF
shows in the
display. The arrow in the display points to the current setting.
5. Press the CID/messages ( or ) button on the base or use the touch-
tone pad on the base to select
1ON
or
2OFF
. The default is ON.
6. Press the OK soft key again to confirm your selection. You will hear a
confirmation tone. The display briefly shows
ANSWERER ON
or
ANSWERER OFF,
and then returns to the answerer setup menu. If a
change is made, the unit announces the new choice.
NOTE: Press the EXIT soft key once to return to the answerer setup menu, or
press and hold the EXIT soft key to return to standby mode.
