Change Hydraulic Oil

Suction Filter Cleaning
Std. Model --- every 5000 hours, 2500 hours or
1500 hours
K Model , L Model --- every 1000 hours
CAUTION: Hydraulic oil may be hot just after opera-
tion. Wait for oil to cool before starting work.
IMPORTANT: Hydraulic oil changing intervals differ ac-
cording to kind of hydraulic oils used. (See
Recommended Oil Chart in this group)
1. Park the machine on a level surface with the upperstruc-
ture rotated 90° for easier access.
2. Position the machine with the arm cylinder fully retracted
and the bucket cylinder fully extended.
3. Lower the bucket to the ground.
4. Turn the auto-idle switch off.
IMPORTANT: The turbocharger may be damaged if the
engine is not properly shut down.
5. Run the engine at slow idle speed without load for five
minutes.
6. Stop the engine. Remove the key from the key switch.
7. Pull the pilot control shut-off lever to the LOCK position.
8. Clean the top of the hydraulic oil tank to keep dirt out of
the hydraulic system.
CAUTION: The hydraulic oil tank is pressurized. Push
pressure release button (1) on the air breather before
removing the air breather.
9. Push pressure release button (1) on the air breather.
10. Remove cover (2).
11. Remove oil using a suction pump. The hydraulic oil tank
capacity, up to specified oil level, is approximately A.
