Network requirements
As shown in Figure 28:
OSPF runs on the network.
The PIM-SM domain uses both the ASM model and SSM model for multicast delivery.
GigabitEthernet 1/0/3 on Router D acts as the C-BSR and C-RP. The SSM group range is
232.1.1.0/24.
IGMPv3 runs on GigabitEthernet 1/0/1 on Router D. The receiver host runs IGMPv2, and does
not support IGMPv3. The receiver host cannot specify multicast sources in its membership
reports.
Source 1, Source 2, and Source 3 send multicast packets to multicast groups in the SSM group
range 232.1.1.0/24.
