Install and Set Up the Plasma Power Supply
The Powermax65 SYNC, Powermax85 SYNC, and
Powermax105 SYNC are portable plasma power
supplies that you can use for many handheld and
mechanized cutting and gouging applications.
Powermax SYNC systems include the following
capabilities:
 Use air or nitrogen to cut electrically conductive
metals, such as mild steel, stainless steel, or
aluminum
 Use F5 gas to cut stainless steel
 Gouge with 2 gouging processes: Maximum
Removal and Maximum Control
 Adjust the output current (A) from the
SmartSYNC hand torch
 Use a single-piece cartridge instead of a set of consumables
 Automatically set the operating mode, output current (A), and gas pressure related to the
type of SmartSYNC torch and Hypertherm cartridge that you install
 Record cartridge information so that you can monitor cartridge life, and be notified when you
need to install a new cartridge
 Lock the SmartSYNC torches without setting the plasma power supply to OFF
 Quickly change SmartSYNC torches with the FastConnect™ system (quick-disconnect)
