Installing the electronic journal slot assembly
To install the electronic journal slot assembly, complete the following steps (see Figure 13 on page 37 for
additional information):
1. Ensure the I/O probe shield is in place. If not, install the shield before continuing. To install the shield:
a. Align the holes in the shield with the matching components on the logic card.
b. Place the I/O shield onto the logic card and hold it in place.
2. Press the assembly down onto the logic card. Ensure that the small retention tab on the mounts leg
passes through the hole in the logic card.
3. Align the pins of the electronic journal slot card with the connector on the logic card.
4. If necessary, install the fiscal logic card in the tray (see “Removing the fiscal logic card” on page 31 for
information).
5. Install the fiscal tray in the printer (see “Installing the fiscal tray” on page 29 for information).
Installing the electronic journal slot card
The logic card does not have to be removed from the tray to install the electronic journal slot card.
To install the electronic journal slot card, complete the following steps:
1. Align the pins of the electronic journal slot card A (Figure 15) with the connector on the logic card.
2. Press down on the card until it clicks into place on the support bracket B (Figure 15).
