Removing the paper transport frame from the main frame
This section provides the information to remove the paper transport frame from the printers main frame of
a fiscal or fiscal ready printer.
To remove the paper transport frame from the main frame, complete the following steps:
1. Remove both the paper door and main covers (see “Removing the paper door cover” on page 41 and
“Removing the main cover” on page 44 for instructions).
2. If necessary, remove the fiscal tray (see “Removing the fiscal tray” on page 28 for information).
3. Remove the logic card (see “Removing the logic card” on page 54 for information) to gain access to
the paper transport frame.
4. Remove the screw (B in Figure 38) that holds the grounding strap to the main frame.
5. Press down on the paper transport frame release tab (A in Figure 38) and slide the frame to the left
to remove it from the main frame.
Note: You might have to pivot the metal brake adjuster on the left side of the paper transport frame to
clear its guide slot on the main frame.
6. Remove the grounding strap (C in Figure 38) from the frame.
