Interface card
This section provides information on the connectors, installation and removal of the interface card installed
in the 1NF fiscal ready printer
Connectors
Cash drawer
The cash drawer (RJ-45) connector (A in Figure 42) is used to communicate with the cash
drawer.
RS-232 communications port
This RS-232 communications port (B in Figure 42) is used to provide communication with the
POS system and the printer.
Power-supply
Connect 24 V power to this connector (C in Figure 42) to provide power to the printer.
Removing the interface card
Follow these step to remove the interface card:
1. Disconnect all power from the printer.
2. Remove all the covers and the base from the printer (see “Removing the paper door cover” on page
41, “Removing the main cover” on page 44, and “Removing the fiscal base” on page 47 for more
information).
3. Place the printer on one side.
4. Press the release latch and rotate the interface card out of the printer.
