Communication Cartridge
Functions
By installing a communication cartridge on the SmartAXIS expansion communication port, the SmartAXIS can communicate with
communication devices supporting RS232C/RS485, such as Modbus RTU compliant devices, barcode readers, or operator
interfaces.

Installation Procedure
Remove the expansion communication port cover by inserting a flat head screwdriver into the slots at the top and bottom of the
cover. Press in the tabs at either end of the cover and lift the cover directly upward.
