*SRE <enable value>
Enable bits in the status byte enable register.
*SRE?
Query the status byte enable register. The multimeter returns a
decimal value which corresponds to the binary-weighted sum of all bits
set in the register.
*STB?
Query the status byte summary register. The *STB? command is
similar to a serial poll, but it is processed like any other instrument
command. The *STB? command returns the same result as a serial
poll, but the "request service" bit (bit 6) is not cleared if a serial poll
has occurred.
Model 2100-specific SCPI compliance information
This section describes a list of commands that are device-specific to the Model 2100 Digital
Multimeter. Although not included in the 1999.0 version of the SCPI standard, these commands
are designed with the SCPI format in mind and they follow all of the syntax rules of the standard.
Many of the required SCPI commands are accepted by the multimeter but are not described in this
manual for simplicity or clarity. Most of these non-documented commands duplicate the
functionality of a command already described in this section.
