% (Percent)
Definition
This mathematical function calculates the ratio of a measurement reading to a specified target
value in the form of a percentage. The calculation formula is shown below:
The specified target value is stored in volatile memory and will be cleared after the meter has
been turned-off or a remote interface has been reset.
Making a percent measurement
You can make a percent measurement using the front panel or through a remote interface.
To make a percent measurement using the front panel:
1. To specify a target value, first configure the % function by pressing CONFIG + %.
2. Use the PREV and NEXT keys to move through the digits, and the up and down arrow
keys to increase or decrease the numbers to a desired target value.
3. Press ENTER to set the value.
4. Press % to activate this function, then observe the calculated percent value on the display
(Figure 4-17 shows the location of the keys used).
NOTE Press % again to disable this function. The "MATH" annunciator on the display indicates
the state of a mathematical feature.
