CRC FILE FORMAT
The le generated by the EGM and the le given to
an operator will be a standard text le in the following
format:
MODULE NAME CRC VALUE
Module Name1: CRCVAL1(XXXX)
Module Name2: CRCVAL2(XXXX)
Module Name3: CRCVAL3(XXXX)
Module Name4: CRCVAL4(XXXX)
Module NameN: CRCVALN(XXXX)
The EGM/System le contains all modules installed on
the EGM with their corresponding signatures.

When an LP21 request is sent to the EGM, the platform will immediately CRC the EGM’s generated CRC le
and respond to the requestor. The response time between receiving an LP21 request and responding with an
appropriate signature is greatly reduced using the LP21 FAST CRC feature since the CRC no longer needs to
be generated across all installed modules. Once the initial CRC generation is complete at initial boot, any LP21
request after will reply quickly with a CRC of the generated le.
If an LP21 request comes in during the initial CRC generation, the reply will be sent once the initial CRC le
generation and CRC of the le is complete.
SETUP AND KMS
NOTE: All LP21 and Key-On Credit functions are found within the KMS screens. Pages that follow show only the
page on which the applicable function can be found.
The EGM KMS screens provide an operator a method to enable this feature by selecting a check box to turn on
the LP21 fast CRC option. If this option is disabled, the EGM platform will work using the method used previously
in older platforms. This option will be disabled by default on initial RAM clear. This option can be changed after
RAM clear, but requires a reboot to change CRC type modes.
localization and cuRRency
The KMS screens will not be localized. The new KMS screens and any alterations to existing KMS screens will
be presented in English language only.
Foreign currency is supported; however, this document shows U.S. Dollars for examples. The currency and
numeric values are to be formatted according to the congured currency type. This applies to currency symbol
and currency symbol position, radix point, and group separator.
