KMS
SETUP
3. Insert the USB drive in the machine and on the Game License Entry Page, press IMPORT. (After Licenses
have been successfully entered, be sure to remove the USB drive.)
Licenses can only be activated/deactivated during RAM Clear. LIMITED licenses can be "renewed" in KMS
maintenance mode.

Features have been added to prevent license tampering:
After 5 failed license key entry attempts, the EGM must be restarted. Successfully entering a valid license
resets the failed attempt count to ‘0’.
If the clock is set prior to the actual date, the EGM will tilt with an RTC ERROR requiring setting the clock
back to the correct date.
licenSe exPiRation
When a game license has expired, that game is disabled (no denoms can be selected) and is not available to play.
When all game licenses or the extended game license has expired, the platform tilts with “All licenses have expired”.
The tilt is cleared only when the operator has renewed the license via RAM Clear or in KMS maintenance mode.
KMS maintenance mode does not require restart and does not change any meters.
When the date rolls over, the value is retained in EEPROM and cannot be cleared. Adjusting the clock prior to
this date results in an "RTC ERROR" tilt until the clock is set back. Adjusting the clock ahead of the correct date
will reset the date to this new value.
The EGM clock must be set to the correct, current date before exiting KMS. Exiting KMS without the correct
date may result in an "RTC ERROR" tilt.
When the clock is set in advance of the current date, the EGM will not be playable until that date is reached.
Turn off the EGM, pull the clock battery, and wait until that date.

Licenses can be imported via USB by inserting the USB drive containing the licenses and clicking IMPORT.
The IMPORT button is enabled by default, unless explicitly disabled via RAM Clear.
Only activated licenses can be imported/renewed in KMS maintenance mode.
Only the specic serial number license le and content specic to licensing is imported from the license le.
Any other content is ignored and has no effect to conguration or run-time options.
A failed attempt to import the license le will result in a pop-up message notifying the operator that the EGM
failed to import the licenses. Verify that the USB drive is correctly mounted and retry the import.
An attempt to import the rst invalid license key will result in a pop-up message notifying the operator that
the license key is invalid.
Multiple attempts to import invalid license keys will result in a tilt, requiring that the EGM be restarted.
Older licenses do not replace newer licenses.
Limited licenses do not replace unlimited licenses.
A pop-up message will notify the operator once all licenses have been successfully imported and renewed.
Once licenses have been imported, the USB drive must be removed otherwise the EGM will tilt, requiring that
the EGM be restarted.
