1.2 Getting started
Sending
Perform the following basic procedure to send a fax.
In order to use the Fax functions, the optional fax kit must be installed.
1 Press [Fax/Scan] on the control panel to start the fax mode.
– If the machine is set to display the Fax/Copy screen when it is in
standby, a fax can be sent simply by specifying the recipient’s fax
number or by entering “#” and a one-touch number. For details, re-
fer to “Default screen” on page 11-12.
2 Place the original on the machine.
– For details, see “Placing the original on the machine” on page 3-5.
3 Set the functions as necessary.
