If the number of rings is set between 1 and 20 with the “Auto reception”
setting, the specified number of rings will be produced before the fax is
received. However, if the number of rings is set to 10 or more, the recip-
ient’s fax machine may stop the fax before it can be received.
If the call is from
a fax machine
A fax signal can be
heard. Press the
[Start] key to receive
the fax.
If the call is from
a telephone
You can talk with
the caller. After
talking with the
caller, press the
[Start] key to
receive the fax.
Manual reception (“Telephone Only” setting)
Rings are produced.
Pick up the telephone receiver.
