The new correction is determined as a function of the actual/setpoint deviation of the O2 value,
the P factor and the spread factor. This is then sent to the CMS. The procedure is repeated
after the dead time has elapsed. If the internal firing rate changes during this time, the O

switches to the FEED FORWARD CONTROL mode. The correction value follows the stored
optimisation curve.
