SAFETY GUIDELINES
• DO NOT LEAVE THE POWER SWITCH IN THE ON POSITION WHILE THE TOOL IS
UNATTENDED. Turn the power switch to the OFF position. DO NOT leave the tool
until it has come to a complete stop.
• DO NOT STAND ON THE TOOL. Serious injury could result if the tool tips or is
accidentally jarred. DO NOT store anything above or near the tool.
• DO NOT OVERREACH. Keep proper footing and balance at all times. Wear
oil-resistant rubber-soled footwear. Keep the floor clear of oil, scraps, and other
debris.
• MAINTAIN TOOLS PROPERLY. KEEP tools clean and in good working condition.
Follow instructions for lubricating and changing accessories.
• CHECK FOR DAMAGED PARTS. Inspect moving parts for alignment, jamming,
breakage, improper mounting, or any other condition that may affect the operation
of the tool. Any part that is damaged should be properly repaired or replaced
before use.
• MAKE THE WORKSHOP CHILDPROOF. Use padlocks and master switches, and
ALWAYS remove starter keys.
• DO NOT operate the tool while under the influence of drugs, alcohol, or medication
that may affect the ability to use the tool properly.
• WHEN SERVICING, USE ONLY IDENTICAL REPLACEMENT PARTS.
• DO NOT ALLOW ANYONE WHO HAS NOT CAREFULLY READ AND FULLY
UNDERSTOOD THIS OWNER’S MANUAL TO USE OR OPERATE THIS MITRE SAW.
ALWAYS WEAR EYE PROTECTION.
A mitre saw can propel foreign objects into the eyes, which
could cause permanent eye damage. ALWAYS wear safety
goggles (not glasses). Ordinary eyeglasses only have
impact-resistant lenses. They are NOT safety goggles.
WARNING:
Dust that is generated when cutting certain materials can be
hazardous to the health. Always operate the mitre saw in a
well-ventilated area, and provide for proper dust removal. Use a
dust collection system whenever possible.
