- Using "-" and "+" Buttons -

o he "-" and "+" but-
tons are used after you
have pressed one of the
three MENU buttons
(AUDIO, VIDEO, SETUP) to change
senini's or make adjustments.
Whenever a menu or display
disappears from the screen, the "-"
and "+ buttons on the front of the
TV automatically become the
CHANNEL A/k/ buttons. If the
"-'" or "+" button on the TV is
pressed after the display has
disappeared, the TV will change
channels.
If you want to make additional
adjustments after a display has
disappeared, press one of the MENI
buttons again to bring the display
back to the screen. This will
automatically activate the "-" and
"+" buttons again.
-- Power Failures
-These functions are not affected by power failures:
• Channels in Channel Memory
• Channels in Parental Control
• Status of Parental Control (on or off)
• Settings in Picture Memory
• Stereo/Mono Selection
• Cable/Air Selection
• Autocolor On/Off
• Speakers On/Off
- These functions are not affected by brief power interruptions. After longer --
interruptions, the following occurs when power is restored:

Condition After Extended Power Failure
Set stays off when power comes back.
Volume returns to 1/3 of full volume.
Set goes to lowest channel in channel memory.
PC information must be reset.
Set goes to settings in Picture Memory.
Set goes to middle of range.
SAP turns off.
Clock stops; must be reset.
Timer turns off; must be reset.
Alarm turns off; must be reset.
Set goes to edged display.
Quickly Removing Displays --

0 The Video, Audio, and
Setup displays
automatically disappear
from the TV screen a
few seconds after you have finished
making your adjustments.
To make them disappear more
quick/y, press either the TV or
CLEAR button on the remote
control. If you want to make anothe_
adjustment, however, you can press
either the VIDEO, AUDIO, or
SETUP button again without
waiting for the displays to disappear.
Last Function Memo_'_
The TV has a special
memory for all function.,
that display bar scales
on the screen. The 'IV
"remembers" which bar scale you
adjusted last-even after the bar
display has disappeared from the
screen. So if you want to adjust the
same function again, simply press
the "-" or "+" button on the
remote.
This applies to all the functions with
bar scales: "COLOR", "TINT",
"CONTRAST", "BRIGHTNESS",
"SHARPNESS", "TREBLE",
"BASS", and "BALANCE".
The memory clears, however,
whenever the TV is turned off.
