Dubbing/Editing with
Two VCR's
Should you wish to dub (copy) tapes from one VCR
to another, the connections can be made through the
TV as shown here to' provide monitoring capability
during the dubbing process.
Installation
1. Connect the first VCR's AUDIO/ VIDEO OUT
jacks to INPUT #1 jacks on TV.
Note: If the VCR has a monaural audio output
(only one AUDIO OUT jack instead of L and R),
connect it to the R/MONO jack of the TV.
2. Connect the BRIDGED OUT jacks of "IV to
AUDIO/ VIDEO IN jacks of VCR # 2.
Note: (The BRIDGED OUT jacks carry whatever
signal is coming in through the INPUT I jacks.)
3. Connect the AUDIO/ VIDEO OUT jacks of VCR
#2 to the INPUT 3 jacks of the TV.
4. Place the second VCR's TUNER/LINE switch in
the LINE position.
Note: If this switch is called TUNER/CAMERA
switch on your VCR, put switch in CAMERA
position.

Operation:
1. Use VCR # 1 to play the tape to be copied. Use
VCR #2 to record.
2. Monitor the program material being played on
VCR # 1 by first pressing the remote's TV button
(to address the TV), then "9" then "1". Press "9"
then "3" to see what VCR #2 is recording.
3. If you want to delete portions of the program
being played on VCR # 1,'use the PA USE
button on VCR #2.
4. To play back from VCR #2, set up the VCR for
playback and then press the remote's TV button
(to address the 'IV), then "9", then "3".
Note: Do not use INPUTS #3 if you connect a
device to the EIA MULTIPORT cormector.
