Connections & Setup
Front Panel Display
The description below tells what each part of the front panel display mean when lit.
1. DVD icon Indicates the status of the DVD deck. The icon above signifies that the disc is
moving.
2. 3D icon Signifies that 3D sound is on.
3. Camera icon Shows that the inserted DVD has multiple angles from which to choose.
4. MPEG or MP3 Indicates that a CD with MPEG or MP3 tracks is playing.
5. LPCM Indicates that a disc with LPCM (Linear Pulse Code Modulation) audio is loaded.
6. C Shows the currently-playing DVD chapter number.
7. T Shows the currently-playing CD title number.
8. Number display Displays the current time, counter, remaining time on a videotape, time
expired on a disc, or the current deck status.
9. AM/PM Signifies that the time is a.m. or p.m.
10. Clock icon Means a timer recording is programmed or in progress. If blinking, there is an
error. Also displays without the clock hands to indicate that a recording is in progress, and
blinks when the VCR is paused.
11. COPY Shows that a DVD to VHS copy is in progress.
12. Tape reel icon Indicates the status of the VCR deck. The icon above signifies that the
videotapes is moving.
13. DVD Indicates that the DVD deck is selected and remote and front panel button presses
will activate the disc.
14. SVC DVD Indicates that a DVD, CD, VCD, or SVCD is loaded.
15. Dolby Digital
®
icon Indicates that a disc with Dolby Digital
®
audio is loaded.
16. dts icon Indicates that a DVD with a DTS soundtrack is loaded.
17. Circle icon The current TV show or video is broadcast in stereo.
18. HI-FI The hi-fi track of a VHS tape is playing.
19. SP/SLP The VCR record speed is set to SP or SLP.
20. VCR Indicates that the VCR deck is selected and remote and front panel button presses
will activate the videotape.
