2. E-mail server Make sure that the client devices which
have an account in the server can
send/receive e-mail.
Ask the administrator to check.
Send a test e-mail with the machine's own
number as the destination. The machine
receives the returned e-mail if the
communication is performed successfully.
3. Destination e-mail
address
ï‚§ Make sure that the e-mail address is
actually used.
ï‚§ Check that the e-mail address contains
no incorrect characters such as
spaces.
4. Router settings ï‚§ Use the "ping" command to contact the
router.
ï‚§ Check that other devices connected to
the router can sent data over the
router.
Ask the administrator of the server to
check.
5. Error message by
e-mail from the
network of the
destination.
ï‚§ Check whether e-mail can be sent to
another address on the same network,
using the application e-mail software.
ï‚§ Check the error e-mail message.
Inform the administrator of the LAN.
