Replacing the air valve V4

Switch off the cobas b 221 system.
e
Please pay attention to Shutdown on page B-19.

Remove the top cover and T&D cover.

Rotate the T&D lock on the T&D module 90 degrees to the right.

Carefully pull the sample inlet path out to the right and remove it.

Unscrew the three screws holding the central measuring unit.

For details, see Figure B-2 on page B-20.

Raise the central measuring unit forward until it clicks audibly into place.

Disconnect cable of V4 from the V4/V6 actuator board.

Loosen the relief clamp and remove the tubes.

Carefully pry out valve V4 by using a flat-head screw driver.
Use the reverse order for assembly.
Replacing the FMS valve (MIX)

Disassemble the FMS unit.

Unscrew the two screws holding the MIX valve and remove the valve.
Use the reverse order for assembly.
V4 is a separate valve called "valve cobas b 221 system", do not use the valve called "valve unit", it
is different!
Do not remove the fastening screws completely, because they are secured against loss.
The sample inlet path must be removed at this time, otherwise it will be destroyed by folding the
central measuring unit out.
