2.1 Observing instructions
This instruction is compiled for the operator of the ROTEX GW
and authorised and trained heating engineers that have, due to
their professional education and their expert knowledge,
experience with the correct installation and maintenance of
heating systems as well as with gas installations.
The installation of the unit, the hydraulic, electrical and gas
connections and the commissioning must be carried out exclu-
sively by authorised and trained heating technicians.
All required activities for installation, commissioning, operation
and maintenance are described in this operating instruction
manual.
All heating parameters needed for smooth operation are already
factory-set.
Please read this manual carefully and thoroughly before
proceeding with the installation or modification of the heating
system.

2.2 Warning signs and explanation of symbols
Meaning of the warnings
Warnings in this manual are classified according into their
severity and probability of occurrence.
Special warning signs
Some types of danger are represented by special symbols:

2.3 Avoid danger
The ROTEX GW is built according to the state of the art and
recognised norms on technology. However, improper use may
result in serious physical injuries or death, as well as property
damage.
To prevent hazards only assemble the ROTEX GW:
– as stipulated and in perfect condition,
– with an awareness of the safety and hazards involved.
This assumes knowledge and use of the contents of this manual,
the relevant accident prevention regulations and the recognised
safety-related and occupational medical rules.
Ɣ Determine the installation site or secure it so that it is inacces-
sible for unauthorised persons.
Ɣ Keep flammable material away from the ROTEX GW.
2.4 Intended use
The ROTEX GW may be used exclusively as hot water heating
system. The Gas condensing boiler must be installed, connected
and operated only according to the information in this manual.
The ROTEX GW may only be operated with the integrated circu-
lation pump and only in combination with a controller approved by
ROTEX.
Any other use outside the intended use is considered as non-
intended. Any resulting damages will be borne by the user/owner
alone.
Use as intended also involves compliance with maintenance and
inspection conditions. Spare parts must at least satisfy the
technical requirements defined by the manufacturer. This is the
case, for example, with original spare parts.

This unit is not intended for use by persons (including
children) with impaired physical, sensory or mental
faculties or persons with insufficient experience and/or
expertise unless supervised by a person responsible
for ensuring their safety or are given instruction by this
person on how to use the unit.
