The
Parallel
tool verifies whether or not two lines, segments, rays,
vectors, axes, or sides of a polygon are parallel.
1.
Construct two segments as shown.
2.
Press
TI-89:

and then

2:Parallel
.

Point to the first segment and press

then point to the second
segment and press

Select the objects.

Press

to display the property
of the two segments.

Drag the endpoint of one of the
segments a few pixels up or down.
The
Perpendicular
tool verifies whether or not two lines, segments,
rays, vectors, axes, or sides of a polygon are perpendicular.
