Turf Guardiant Leak Detector System Operation
Before Start-Up (Cold Oil)
With ignition switch in the OFF position, solenoid valve
is open. Before start-up, hydraulic fluid is at level mark
ofsightgauge(oilcold).Floatisinraisedposition,keep-
ing alarm circuit open.

Normal Operation (Warm Oil)
WhenignitionswitchisturnedtotheRUNposition,sole-
noid valve closes. During normal operation, hydraulic
fluid expands, causing it to overflow into auxiliary tank.
The float stays in the raised position keeping alarm cir-
cuit open.

Leak Alert!
If hydraulicfluid leaks duringoperation, the fluid levelin
the main hydraulic tank drops. This causes the float to
lower, closing the alarm circuit. The alarm will soundaf-
ter a one second time delay.
NOTE: During normal operation, with cuttingunits low-
ered, approximately 5 oz (148 ml) of hydraulic fluid will
leak before the float closes the alarm circuit and acti-
vates the alarm.
