D. Replace input shaft if worn or damaged. Gear
teeth that are cracked, broken, chipped or missing
are not acceptable.
E. Ball bearing roller balls must be free of deforma-
tion and scoring. Ball bearing must spin freely and
have minimum axial play. Replace ball bearing as
necessary.
F. Replace governor plate if cracked, bent, or any
weight is missing. Weights must swing freely.
G. Replace governor sleeve if cracked or worn.
5. Disassemble center shaft assembly.

IMPORTANT: Do not reuse ball bearings that have
been removed.
A. Remove ball bearings from the center shaft as-
sembly.
