About this chapter
Read this chapter before installing your DP 2K C-series projector. It contains important information concerning installation requ ire-
ments for the DP2 K C-series projector, such as minimum and m aximum allowed ambient temperature, humidity conditions, required
safety ar ea around the installed projector, required power net, etc.
Furthermore, careful consideration of things s uch as ima ge size, a mbient light level, projector plac ement and type of screen to use
are critical to the optimum use of the projection system.

This manu al can be used for the following projectors :

Barco provides a guarantee relating to perfect manufacturing as part of the legally stipulated terms of guar-
antee. O bserving the specification m entioned in this chapter is critical for projector performance. Neglecting
this can result in loss of warranty.

2.1 Installation requirements

Table below sum marizes the physical environment in which the DP 2K C-series projector m ay be safely operated or stored.

Let the projector acclimate to t he amb ient temperature after u npacking. Neglecting this may resu lt in a startup
failure of the Light Proc essor Unit.
Cooling requirements
The projector is fan cooled and m ust be installed with sufficient space mainly in the front of the projector head, minimum 20 cm (8
inch) to ensure sufficient air flow. It s hould be used in an area w here the ambient temperature, as measured at the projector head
air inlet and at the power unit air inlet, do es not exceed +35°C (+95°F).
The installation of an e xhaust system is MA NDATORY . The installed exhaust blower must remov e an air volume of m inimum 6,65
m
3
/min (235 CFM).
Power requirements
The DP2K C-series projector operates from a
nominal mono phase power net with a separate earth ground PE. A label on the
projector indicates the nominal line voltage for which the projector was set at the factory.

DP2K-15C 200–240 VAC, 50–60 Hz , 20 am ps at 200 VAC
