Auto Dial Numbers and
Dialing Options
Storing Numbers for Easy Dialing
You can set up your MFC to do two types of easy dialing: Speed Dial and
Groups for Broadcasting faxes.
Storing Speed Dial Numbers
You can store Speed Dial numbers, so when you dial you will have to press only
five keys (Search/Speed Dial, #, the two-digit location, and Black Fax Start).
The MFC has 40 Speed Dial locations.

Press Menu/Set, 2, 3, 1.

Use the dial pad to enter a two-digit
location (01-40), and then press
Menu/Set.

Enter the number (up to 20 digits),
and then press Menu/Set.

Use the dial pad to enter the name (up to
15 characters), and then press
Menu/Set. You can use the chart on
page 4-3 to help you enter lettersOR
Press Menu/Set, and then go to Step 5 to store the number without a name.

Return to Step 2 to store another Speed Dial numberORPress Stop/Exit .
If you loose electrical power, auto dial numbers in memory will NOT be lost.
(For USA Only) Speed Dial location 01 has been pre-programmed for the
Brother fax-back system. You can override it if you wish.
