Install and Connect
This chapter describes how to install and connect the Cisco Catalyst C8300 Series Edge Platforms to LAN,
WAN, and Voice networks.
These routers are designed to boot up in less than 30 minutes, provided the neighboring devices are in
fully operational state.

on the router must be used.
Warning
To comply with the Class A emissions requirements shielded twisted pair T1/E1 cables must be used
