High-quality TFT display
s are installed in notebooks from Fujitsu Technology Solutions GmbH. For
technical reasons, TFT mo
nitors are manufactured for a specific resolution. An optimal, clear
picture can only be ensur
ed with the correct resolution intended for the relevant TFT m onitor. A
monitor resolution whi
ch differs from the specification can result in an un clear picture.
The expression "monitor
resolution" is used to describe the number of horizontal and vertical
pixels ("picture eleme
nts") which make up the monitor display. For example, "WUXGA " stands for
1920 x 1200 pixels. Each
pixel consists of three so-called subpixels of the colours red, green and
blue. As a result, a WUXG
A monitor consists of 1920 x 1200 x 3 = 6,912,000 subpixels.
